Sophea: Changing Her World

In 2013 AusCam Freedom Project began tackling the issue of large numbers of adolescent girls from urban poor communities dropping out of school. They began offering them scholarships and access to life skills workshops and mentoring so they could continue their schooling and have a chance at a better life.

They began with 25 girls.

In 2015, we met Sophea, one of the original recipients of a scholarship in the documentary Sophea's Dream. This is her continuing story and the impact AusCam is having on adolescent girls from impoverished families in the Cambodian Capital, Phnom Penh.
