AusCam Freedom Project Incorporated (AFP) is committed to protecting your privacy.
Confidentiality of your information is fundamental to AFP and its entities (Soulful Discoveries) and all information received and held is subject to the strictest duties of confidentiality. Protecting your privacy is important to us and AFP is committed to using your information responsibly.
AFP ensures that all information it collects, holds and discloses, about individuals is in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Federal Government’s Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles, and that your confidentiality is always maintained.
This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, handle and safeguard your personal information. It also outlines how you can seek to access and correct your personal information or what to do if you have any questions, concerns or complaints.

Information collected:
We collect most of your personal information directly from you. For example, when you fill out an online form, complete a survey, make a donation, sign up to our e-newsletter or contact us via email or phone.

 AFP uses your personal information for the purpose that it was collected for and to provide you with updates on our work.
We use your information primarily to:

  • Provide goods and services (Soulful Discoveries Tours)
  • Conduct marketing activities
  • Recruit and manage Board members, Staff, or volunteers
  • Enable other activities and functions of the organisation

AFP may disclose your personal information to third parties who assist us in supplying our goods, services and programs or who perform functions on our behalf. We may also disclose your personal information to third parties where required by law and to anyone else whom you authorise us to disclose it to. We do not rent or sell your information and will not exchange your information without your permission. We will only use this personal information to get in touch with you about things relevant to your interest in AFP, unless you tell us not to.

Security and storage:
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). When credit card details are collected, we simply pass them on in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete credit card details.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it and take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. This includes complying with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard that covers security of payment card information.

Privacy and Our Website:
We use Google Analytics to monitor our website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated is used to create reports about the use of our Website. Google will store this information. If you do not want your visit to our website data reported by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We use this information to determine how many people are visiting our website, which pages they look at and how long they look at certain pages for. These results do not identify users individually, and we cannot identify you from this data.
From time to time we may provide links to other websites. For example to purchase tickets to a fundraising event/fundraising campaign or for referencing in a blog or research.  These sites are not monitored or controlled by AFP and therefore we cannot take responsibility for their content, claims of offer or privacy practices – we recommend checking their privacy policies if you have any concerns.
Accessing or correcting your personal information:
Supporters and donors can request access at any time to personal information held about them. You can ask us to delete the information from our records at any time by simply contacting us via the contact details below. Further to this, if you are receiving our e-newsletter, there is an opt-out option should you no longer wish to receive this.

Updates to Privacy Policy:
We may, from time to time, review and update this Privacy Policy, including to take into account new laws, regulations, practices and technology. All Personal Information held by us will be governed by our most recent Privacy Policy, posted here. Any changes to this Privacy Policy may be advised to you by updating this page on our Website.

Questions or complaints:
If you have any questions relating to this Privacy Policy or wish to make a complaint about a breach of any privacy laws by AFP, please contact us using the details below. AFP may ask that you make your request in writing. We will investigate any complaint and notify you of our decision in relation to your complaint as soon as is practicable after it has been made (usually within 30 days).

AFP Security Policy EWAY & PAYPAL:

​EWAY
AFP uses the eWAY Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. eWAY processes online credit card transactions for thousands of merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the Internet. All online credit card transactions performed on this site using the eWAY gateway are secured payments. eWay provides the following secure services:
  • Payments are fully automated with an immediate response
  • Your complete credit card number cannot be viewed by AFP or any outside party
  • All transactions are performed under 128 Bit SSL Certificate
  • All transaction data is encrypted for storage within eWAY’s bank-grade data centre, further protecting your credit card data
  • eWAY at no time touches your funds; all monies are directly transferred from your credit card to the merchant account held by AFP

PAYPAL
AFP uses PayPal Australia Pty Limited (“PayPal”) to process online credit card transactions.
In order for you to use this service some of your personal information will be supplied to PayPal. In some circumstances, information you supply will be collected directly by PayPal, and will not be disclosed or available to us.
PayPal may be required by law to collect and disclose personal information about you.
PayPal may disclose your personal information to service suppliers and companies and organisations that they have a commercial relationship with, or to other organisations or authorities that they are authorised or required by law to disclose to.
